What's this Contraption

Crude ? Maybe, Inexpensive? YES, Reliable ? Yes, The Resolution is 1/6 oz.

An Experiment of SORTS

Eight plants in Limited Media Volume The volume of media for each plant is limited to 1 gallon. When the temperatures are high, and the plants are in full production, feedings at 20 to 30 minute intervals are required.

Two Clusters of Cherry Tomatoes

This ONE plant has some unusual growth characteristics. First, it is very vigrous and productive. The root system has virtually filled the media to the point it will not drain. I resorted to using a long slender screwdriver and punching holes in the media and root ball. Next I outboarded a larger media container. 17 holes of 5/8 inch diameter were drilled so the roots could access the added media. The plant has 22 to 24 feet of main stem at the present. If I manage to keep it alive, the years growth should reach 40 to 50 feet and the number of tomatoes will total over 2000. Note the branching of the clusters. Many clusters branch into 3 or 4 clusters. When the clusters branch, the number of tomatoes per cluster will be from 30 to 40.
